We host a series of CPD certified educational events throughout the year. Our events are created specifically for healthcare professionals. All seminars are led by our expert consultant physicians and surgeons, all of whom have a vast amount of experience in their fields.

Nephrology and dermatology educational session

About the event: We’re delighted to invite you to this GP Educational Session. This is an interactive Royal Free London evening of talks and discussions on updates in Nephrology & Dermatology. Our experienced consultant will be presenting talks on topics and you're welcome to bring along any case studies you wish to discuss.

Dr Peter Dupont qualified from the RCSI Medical School, Dublin in 1993. He trained in Nephrology on the North Thames specialty training scheme and completed a PhD in transplantation immunology at Imperial College London, Hammersmith Hospital in 2005. He was appointed Consultant Nephrologist/Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Free Hospital, London in 2006 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2008. He is dual accredited in Renal and General Internal Medicine. Dr Dupont’s NHS practice encompasses all aspects of general nephrology including investigation and management of acute and acute and chronic kidney disease along with difficult hypertension.

Dr Hareni Srenathan is a Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Free Hospital in London, with over a decade of experience working in the NHS. Her clinical practice covers the full spectrum of dermatology, with specialist expertise in inflammatory skin diseases, skin lesions and skin surgery. She established and leads a complex medical dermatology clinic at the Royal Free Hospital, providing multidisciplinary care for patients with severe or systemic skin disorders. Dr Srenathan graduated from University College London Medical School in 2014 with Distinction in Medical Sciences and holds a First-Class Honours BSc in Medical Sciences with Physiology. She has extensive experience managing both common and complex skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea.

Aquablation: a new, effective treatment options for patients suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

Speaker: Mr Leye Ajayi

About the event: The lecture will cover management of male LUTS together with contemporary surgical treatment options including Aquablation therapy, a robotic assisted procedure which uses heat free water jet to treat benign prostate enlargement.

Mr Leye Ajayi is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and the Clinical Service Lead for Urology and Clinical Lead for Endourology at the Royal Free Hospital. He has a specialist interest in minimally invasive surgery for urinary tract stone disease and Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH). His general
urology practice focuses on andrology, rapid access prostate and haematuria (blood in urine) assessments.

Mr Ajayi established the Aquablation therapy programme at the Royal Free Hospital and has vast experience in performing the procedure. He has surgeons from the UK and Europe attend his theatre sessions to gain insight into the technology.
